Applications range from "fast road" to race. The airboxes have been deployed on many different cars and run at tracks around the world, including the famous Nuerburgring Nordschleife. E30 versions of the S50 and S54 airboxes have shorter intake snorkels for E30 application. Both airbox variants also work in E36 and E28 chassis. The new S50 version allows to use an internal air filter just like the S54 version does. With the air filter being internal this allows easier/simpler airbox installation and the airbox is larger in volume as well.
