The benefits are 1. ~4kg weight saving over stock alternator. 2. Parasitic losses are greatly reduced as the rotational mass is less with the 100mm rotor and aluminium pulley. 3. Sold mounting, designed to withstand high vibrations and less likely to throw a belt at high RPM's. 4. Many options of electrical configurations, one wire, two wire, three wire, four wire (intelligent alternators). 5. Aluminium solid billet pulleys. 6. Ti fasteners - all bolts are titanium, lightest possible kit. To make them suitable for Motorsport environments, brand new Denso units are stripped down and installed with larger rotor bearings, upgraded brush springs/brush boxes (vibration and 18krpm certified), custom high output rectifier boards and all bolts/machine screws loctite secured and locked down stators.
